    Xbox Instant On not auto updating


    My xbox is set to instant on and use to auto update in the background but iy seems last month or two it will not update until I manually do it. This goes for games , pre orders , and system updates.

    It use to work fine but not anymore

    hmmmm I trying this now but every time that I turn my xbox back on its updating some other stupid game but not halo. I dont understand this. I have instant on on and auto download too and the box is currently off. I guess I will wait another 30 min and check
    it again.

    Not auto updating

    Xbox isnt auto updating any games or apps.

    Checked that auto update is switched on which it is; Instant on is enabled; Xbox is connected via ethernet at all times.

    Happens with all new games, existing game updates & existing app updates.

    Recent examples:

    -Bought Dynasty Warriors which didn't auto download

    -Pubg update (4GB) had to be manually started

    -Todays eso update (40GB) has just been manually started.

    Running Xbox One X, 40mbps fibre & Cat6 ethernet cable.

    Sure I can invite you! Regarding the auto updates while your Xbox is off, yes my console does this when I have Instant-on enabled with auto updates.

    Is your Xbox set to insatnt on or in power saving mode? It needs to be set to instant on for auto update to work.

    So a few things that MS need to add to the Xbox One dash.

    "And I get constant updates on games. I don't use the instant on feature which is probably why. But there should be an option for auto updates when the console is on for us energy saving peeps"

    This is what instant on does. What do think your auto updates idea would do?

    And BTW you are not really saving that much energy/money with instant on turned off.
