Xbox Insider Hub: Cannot opt out of Minecraft Beta for Windows 10

My son downloaded the Xbox Insider Hub and opted in to play Minecraft Beta. Now he wants the original version back. We've taken the steps to opt out, uninstalled Minecraft and reinstalled, but it remains stuck in Beta. Please help me get back the latest
NORMAL version of Minecraft!

Open "Xbox Insider Hub". There should be a tab where you opt in the Beta. It's the same place you opt out the Beta. Uninstall Minecraft, then reinstall. It should be free.

Having a corrupted profile is one of the possible reasons why your account is stuck in a Beta version. To help you resolve this concern, I recommend that you uninstall and reinstall the Xbox app from your Windows 10. After you op out from the Xbox Insider
program you need to sign out your account from the Xbox app and then uninstall and reinstall the Xbox app. To do this, you may follow the steps below:

1. Click start, and then type Windows PowerShell on the search box.
2. Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.
3. Type the following command to uninstall Windows Store: Get-AppxPackage xboxapp | Remove-AppxPackage
4. Hit Enter.
5. Launch Windows Store again and download Xbox App.

After uninstalling and reinstalling the Xbox app, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the game as well.

Hi, thank you for your reply. To clarify, should I uninstall/reinstall only Xbox Insider Hub? Not Xbox Live App? Also, do I uninstall/reinstall Minecraft Windows 10?

 

Thanks for the response. I suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the Xbox Live app itself. And yes, you should uninstall and reinstall the Minecraft for Windows 10.

Hi, I followed your instructions. The command is actually *xboxapp* with asterisks. Still didn't get rid of beta. I made sure I logged out of Xbox App as well. I seriously think it's something to do with the Xbox Insider Hub app. It won't opt out.

So no resolution? I just start another thread there for no resolution? You post a warning on your Insider Hub App that "do so at your own risk, you will lose the full version of Minecraft and will have to buy it again!"
