Xbox Insider App age restriction

Hello Everyone,

a friend of mine cannot use the Xbox Insider App, everytime he starts it up it tells him that he is required to be atleast 18 years of age to participate.

The Person in question is way over 18 years old and has specified that in his microsoft-account Information.

I pose this question in his place, the Microsoft Forum told him to pose the question in the Xbox-Forum, which he cannot access since it repeatedly redirects him to a page called "how to add a child to a family-account" (translated
from german).

Any help would be greatly appeciated

So I created a new account and put my age on it (18). And when I try to use "Xbox Insider Hub" it won't let me because it says I'm a minor. I don't know what to do because I literally created that account to use the Xbox Insider, and I'm 18. (The account

I have already contacted with an agent and he told me to post it here.

Does your friend run into any other age restriction issues, or just the Insider app?

When the person's account was created, did the person enter their correct birthdate, or did they enter a random date and updated their account's birthdate later?

The birthdate entered when an account is created is the date the system uses and cannot be changed.

Yes, to my knowledge he made a mistake when entering his age, lowering it below 18 years, and only noticed it when he began to run into age restriction problems just now.

Is there a way to change the birthdate that the system uses?

The birthdate entered when an account is first created cannot be changed. Your friend will have to wait until that original date reaches the Age of Majority (for example 18 in the U.S.) before it will be permitted to do age restricted items.
