Xbox Identity Provider issues

Good afternoon, I have just recently updated to 1903, build 18362.207 to be able to play the xbox (beta) since I own the PC game pass. When trying to play any game that isn't created by Microsoft studios it would give me a error code of 0x80190001 which
I contacted support for windows and xbox they couldn't resolve the issue. I then attached a debugger to the program and found the actual error.

I have no idea want could be causing this issue. I've done sfc /scannow and dism repairs no missing files.

Hi Karuto,

Thanks for coming to the forums. Not sure why windows moved this t Xbox as this issue is a file issue. You can try the steps posted

here. I was not able to find anything on our sites for the error unfortunately.

Hello JohnSalamii, it asks for this because microsoft identity provider might not be installed or updated on your PC.

Make sure that, if you have the latest version of Windows installed, at 21H2, because recently came out the latest update to Windows 10 and 11?

See which version of Windows 10 you have

Updates are often seen as optional, Microsoft released major fixes this week, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed.

If you haven't updated yet, click the link below, update, and make all subsequent security updates.

Also, make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App.

I understand you're having trouble signing in to the Xbox app and installing the Identity provider app. Let's try some steps to isolate the issue. Kindly check if you have any pending updates and make make sure all the required services are running to solve Xbox app sync issues on Windows.

Open the Start menu, search Services then open Services. Scroll down the list and find all of the Xbox entries (they are near the bottom).

Gaming Services (There are 2 of them)

Xbox Accessory Management Service

Xbox Live Auth Manager

Xbox Live Game Save

Xbox Live Networking Service

When you find them right-click on them and select Start. If you can see that they are already running you can skip them.
