xbox I have x2 digital versions of GTA 5 won't let me join my friends online games

for some reason I have x2 copies of GTA 5 installed on my xbox one x, when I play one of them I can go online etc. but when I try to join my friends game it says that I need to install the game? how
do I sort this please

Hi Randy,

Thanks for coming to the forums. We recommend to uninstall both copies of the game and install just one. You most likely have the one you own and game pass copy. If you have game pass make sure to install the copy from your ready to install list.

If that does happen, then we will simply begin troubleshooting, most likely by double checking that you have an active xbox Live Gold membership, or have access to one via the Home Xbox feature.

I have had the same issue. But what happens if I cancel my gamepass and the other copy still won't let me join my friends games?

Is this gta 5 crew? if it is, may I join? I'm kinda new to gta 5 online and don't have many friends to play with haha. My gamertag is I hope to get a reply!
