    Xbox: How to Retrieve all My Progress Saved Under Someone Else's Account?


    Hi there!

    So it is to my understanding that when an individual purchases the game pass on Xbox they have their own cloud in which everything is saved. I used my now ex bf's account/shared library and I am trying to find out if I can get any of my Profile Stats back. I was using my own tag and I even repurchased the game (RDR2 Online).

    In all honesty, I spent a lot of time on the game and now I'm extremely discouraged to find myself unable to access any of my profile.

    What can I do?

    If you were gamesharing then your saves are automatically saved on your account. But if you were playing under his profile then I'm afraid there's no way to transfer the saves.

    Hello! Gamesharing under his Game pass I believe.

    I wasn't too invested in video games myself so he gave me his old Xbox, shared his library which meant his game pass was what I was playing under (using my tag though).

    I purchased the game for myself and was under the assumption that all I needed was to sign in to my Microsoft account. But, when I opened the game up all my stats, achievements, inventory items, everything was gone. I was just back at square one.

    Hello CandenceSturges,

    Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer any progress to someone else. All of your saves and achievements are locked to your gamertag/account in the cloud.

    It it possible to share games though on the same console or different consoles via gameshare.
