Xbox homing policy

Hi,

you only need to make the console you want to share with my home xbox that's it, the console you got the licenses on should be able to play on the games, bare in mind that if you have only one license for a game you both want to play then you cannot play
the same game at the same time due to licensing limitations, you may enjoy the other games while you wait or purchase a license on the account and xbox you want to share with so you both can enjoy the games at the same time.

Note: My home xbox is made for only to share with your family, unless the policy has changed for sharing.

It is more of a game licensing issue with the game developers.

There is no way for MS to know what consoles are actually yours and which are ones that you may have gone to your friends house and put your profile on so they only allow one console at a time to be your
home console.

The best practice in this is whatever console that you want other profiles to be able to play your digital games and use your subscriptions the most on is the one that you would set as your home console.

Now keep this in mind also

Any console that is not your home console as long as you are hooked up to the internet any other profile can still play your games and use your subscriptions as long as your profile is signed in at the
same time. Keep in mind though you can only be signed into one console at a time so if they are signed into your profile on the non-home console you would not be able to be signed in on the home console but you can sign into ANY non-home console with your
profile and play any of your games and use your subscriptions as long as it is connected to the internet. This is how they determine that you have the license to be able to play the games.

well then stop sharing your profile with the neighborhood

You can still use your dlc as long as you are signed into live

You are just going to have to wait

And suggestion don't share your profile

my parents dont live together all my games are digital i bought them on my xbox at my moms which is the console i made my account so when i go to my dads i made the account home xbox’d to the console at my dads so i could play my games at both but my brother
who only lives at my moms messed with my account idk why you think im just giving my account to random people let me know where that came from

No matter what console the account that purchased the games are signed into they should always be able to play their digitally purchased games as long as that console is connected to the internet.

So if your account is the one that purchased the games and your moms console is the one that is the home console as long as the console that is at your dads is connected to the internet you should be able to play any digitally purchased game that is on your
account.
