Thank you for replying back. Unfortunately, there isn't any other alternative other than waiting a year for the Home Console Switches to reset. I understand that this is frustrating, however, as stated there are no other alternatives to resolve the issue
and we ask that you wait patiently for it to reset.

Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. In regards to this Home Console issue, have you tried to
Power Cycle the console to ensure that there isn't anything that could be preventing you from switching your Home console? If the Power
Cycle does not resolve the issue, then at that point you can try a Soft Factory Reset, (Keep Games & Apps),
to see if that will fix the issue.

If neither option works then you will have to wait until the year is up on the Home Console Switches to switch your Home console once again. If you have any other questions please feel free to reply back letting us know. Thank you again for posting on

I am afraid that the problem still persists after trying both solutions, is there any alternative to waiting until next year?

Thanks for posting here on the Xbox forums. Unfortunately, the
Home Xbox support website only states that "You may be eligible to receive an exception." The requirements for eligibility are not know or specified in this support article.

If you are out of home Xbox switches, and do not have the option to fill out the survey, then you must wait for the time that you acquire another switch. You can find that time on the Home Xbox settings in your Xbox one.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue with home console switches. You can look at the guide for home console,
it explains how you may qualify for one last switch. If already had one, you will not get another unfortunately.

Note Customer support cannot offer additional switches. If your console shows you’ve made five home Xbox switches for the year and you need assistance, select Help when
you see the message, Can’t make this your home Xbox. You may be eligible to receive an exception.
