Xbox home screen controller unresponsive problem.

I didn't know whether to put this in the accessories forum or the console forum due to a reason I'll explain later.

Sometimes when I back out to the xbox home screen for whatever reason I may need, the controller will become unresponsive even though it says it is on and no notification came up saying the battery was low, this problem seems to fix itself about a minute or
two later. When it does so it seems that every input I made on the controller during this time is then carried out in order once the problem is fixed, this makes me think that either the xbox doesn't do anything with the inputs until the problem is fixed where
it does them as soon as it can or that the controller somehow keeps memory of all the inputs and sends them out once it can.

Either way, I have no idea how to permanently fix this, I've had this happen a few times where I'll be mid game and it frustrates me as I see myself die in the game.

One thing I forgot to mention, there is one button that does work during this time, the Home button, but only if you hold it down, which then causes you to be stuck with the "Would you like to turn off?" message in the middle on the screen with no way to
get rid of it till the xbox/controller decides to work again.

I have no idea what causes this issue but it has only been starting recently (now that I think about it ever since Destiny came out).

Does anyone know of a fix or how it is caused so I can avoid it best I can?

Xbox Home Screen Unresponsive

Whenever I start up my Xbox, the home screen is nearly unresponsive, and the only way to get it to open an app is to spam the A button until the app opens. However, once the app opens the guide is the same way and I can't figure out the problem. The problem
started after I began a download for Black Ops 3, so I thought to uninstall it and that did nothing. I've power cycled my Xbox with both the hard restart and unplugging my Xbox. I genuinely don't know how to fix this and it's becoming rather annoying.

 

Serious issue with Grand Theft Auto V

Basically, when I select the game and press A on my controller, it opens the game. When it loads onto the screen where you pick online or story, the game becomes UNRESPONSIVE to my controller. So therefor, I cannot select online, and it takes me into story.
The controller is still unresponsive! I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the game.

Also, the home button works, but that is it.

I am playing on my Xbox one specifically.

I don't have an answer for you, but I too am having this issue.

 

Just got an Xbox 1 today, and I keep getting this problem. I've restarted a bunch of times and it doesn't stay fixed. Only button that works is the home button, and that's only occasionally. otherwise zilch.

• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
• Power on your console and check to see if the issue continues to occur.
