Xbox Home glitch, cursor keeps returning to the top

Thanks! duh! keep forgetting about the controller settings and home buttons. Maybe you can also tell me how to switch control/cursor from the snapped screen to the main screen without returning to the home screen? Sorry to ask all these dumb questions, it's
just I don't see it in any of the learning apps or documentation.

But to answer your question, how to do this, just in case other Dad's/Parents do something similar, it is as follows:

1. On the account that you have put the Xbox Live Code into (For me it was my Daughters account):
   
2. Press Xbox button on handset to get to the guide.
3. Select "System" - Move cursor to the right as far as it goes to choose "System" at the top of the guide.
4. Select "Settings" - Move cursor down one to "Settings"
5. Select "General" - First option
6. Select "Personalisation" - Move the cursor right to "Personalisation"
7. Select "My home Xbox" - Move cursor down one to "My home Xbox"
8. Select "Make this my home Xbox" to designate the console as your home Xbox.

This worked for me. Hope it works for others.

I finally figured out a fix!!!!

it is to open the Edge client on your xbox, close any open tabs, and then press the Settings button on the home page of Edge. It will open a menu. Scroll this menu with the right stick and it will make the cursor disappear. While the cursor is invisible, press the Xbox button on your controller, press start on Edge client, close the program, and return to your game free of the cursor. Enjoy!!

Not sure about the 2 step verification, but I am already doing it via email and phone text to get the security code. With the highlight or focus on the "Use a different Option" button, it is the only selection I can make to return to the previous screen
to choose another option. Know what I mean? I cannot enter the security code. I cannot seem to move to the top half of the screen to move the focus to the blank field to populate the code.

As for creating another account, did that too. Once I get back to this screen, I cannot move the cursor to the blank field to populate the code. Either there is some software glitch in the update on the Xbox One originals or I'm just dumb and can't figure
out how to get the cursor there.

first thing I would advise is to try a Power cycle

Please press and hold the power button on the console for at least 10 seconds until you hear the console powering down. Wait until the light on the power supply turns and remains orange, if the light is orange for at least 30 seconds power the console on
again.
