I have 3 XBOX Ones... Mine and one for each son. I set my youngest son's XBOX to see MINE as his HOME. When I setup the older son's XBOX to see MINE as his HOME it seems to have booted the younger son.

How many XB1s can my be HOME to?

Each profile can only have a single Home Xbox.

 

Understood... But how many profiles can be connected to a Home XBOX?

If I am the "HOME" and 2 kids each have an XB1 - can they EACH connect to me as their HOME?

 

The Home setting only affects the console that it's set on, not the accounts themselves. So they would only get the benefits while they are on the account that is set as the Home console. You can have as many accounts on a console as you want.

 

Right, you setting your console as the Home does not affect your profile. It gives the benefits of your profile (the games you own, your Gold status) to the console, so that everyone else on that console can enjoy them. Other profiles on THAT console can
play your downloaded games and do not need their own Gold subscription (assuming you keep yours) to play online.

The other consoles in your house are unaffected.

 

Right I understand the single concept use of HOME.

But - I can log into my XBL account on my son's XB1 - and he can download and use my digital games without being signed in as me. This isn't a widely written about feature - but it DOES WORK.

My question is - HOW MANY XB1s can I do this same thing to? It appears that I'm limited to only a 2nd unit. When I sign my other kid's XB1 into my account I seem to knock off the 1st kid. I'm just curious if I'm missing something - or if my guess is correct...
Only 2 physical units can use the digital games of 1 home account.

 

On the profile you set as your Home Xbox (whether that's son 1 or 2), ANY profile can play the games that your profile owns. On any other console, the profile that owns the content (yours, in this case) needs to be signed into Xbox Live in order to play
- however, it CAN be a passive player two while someone else is actually playing, but bear in mind your profile can only be actively signed into one console at a time (even if it's downloaded in multiple locations.

Scenario:

Son 1's Xbox is your Home. He, and any other profile, can play your games on this Xbox. Son 2 can NOT play your games, unless you are signed in on that console. So for Son 2, when you are not playing on your own console, sign in on his console and he can
now play all your games too. But as soon as you sign in on your own console, you get signed out from Son 2's Xbox and Son 2 can no longer play your games. Son 1 can always play them.

Also, you seem to have changed Home Xbox at least a couple times already. Bear in mind you can only change it three times in a calendar year.
