Xbox Home Console

So Xbox offers a service known as home console sharing that allows people to play and access Xbox live along with games, even if they do not own them as long as their friend that shared their home console with them has the purchase or active subscription
right.

• My question is how many people can designate a single console as home?

I know that the home console does have a limit and it is not 1. It is more than that cause I have various home console accounts set on my friends console and have finally received the error message that we 'cant set any more home console to this Xbox' even
though we other accounts with available home console switches available.

So, reading up about this, it seems the Xbox 360 DRM controls have changed now too, so either console you can change your home console every four months.

You don't need any kind of kit, just go to Xbox.com for your 360, or in the Xbox One dashboard and change your home console.

The one difference I identify between the two systems is the console license on the 360 assigns to the console the game is first downloaded to, whereas the One, it's whatever your home console is regardless of where you download it.

The home console sharing is set with 5 switches and then after it will give you a date when you will be able to switch again. You are only able to have one home console at a time. For example you cant have your console and friends console set as home. It
is possible that there are multiple accounts on a single console There also is a limit as to how many can have that same console set as home. For example if five profiles are on the console and each have it set as home that is why you are getting the message.
You will have to change home on one or few of the profiles to use it on profile you want.

This is incorrect I guarantee you that I can set multiple accounts as home console on a single console., and I'm aware that I have five switches every 365 days that was not my question.

My question is how many until I get the error message that I can no longer set any more home consoles to this Xbox.

That number is five profiles at one time can have it set as home. Sorry scolding miss read question. After that you will need to change a couple to use another.

Thanks for the clarification I will be testing this to verify its validity by making five new accounts on a n Xbox that has never had Home console set to it ill keep you posted on this.

 

I'm in the process of making the account atm almost done can you go ahead and provide me the link to where yu found the information that you provided me.

Due to not being able to find any information on it, the number I came up with is from personal experience with my family. Unfortunately, there is no information at all that I could find on the number allowed for profiles having same console set as home.

Reddit seems to suggest there is no limit, but I have heard it is closer to 8 users that can set a single Xbox
One console as their Home Xbox.

 

Reddit should not need to answer basic Xbox feature questions if you ask me but I've been able to determine the number after some trial time.

 

Actually, the Xbox One Subreddit is managed by Microsoft in the same manner these forums are, so it's a valid support option.
