Discus and support xbox home buttons send me to friends profile in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have an xbox one and everytime i hold down home button it pops up a friends proifle instead what it usually bring up??? theres also a random grey...     xbox home buttons send me to friends profile


    I have an xbox one and everytime i hold down home button it pops up a friends proifle instead what it usually bring up??? theres also a random grey rectangle in top corner of the screen that wont go away? its really frustrating and cant make it go away....help???

    if you remove your friends profile and make it back to your profile on your home console do you lose your friends games? does their profile always have to be on your xbox as home console to be able to play their games?

    You can delete your friends profile and still play the games. But without his profile I don't believe you will see his new purchased games

    Can you please try a console restart to see if the same thing happens again afterwards. To restart the console can you please press and hold the power button on the front of the console for 5-10 seconds, once the console has shut down please wait for a
    couple of minutes and then restart the console and hopefully the console will now behave as expected.

    Ok, someone in the game helped me. The way to do it is to hit the Xbox Home button, go down to Messages, then press the RB to go to the Controller icon and scroll down to the gamertag, You can then send a friend request.

    Recent updates have moved the profile away from the left of the home screen completely you should go up to the top tab and hit the button with the three dashes that looks like where the start button was a place for the Xbox 360 going to settings and you
    may select your profile under about me.

    Another way is to go to the friends tab select friends online and scroll down to my profile

    It may be possible that your friend's account is no longer set as Home Xbox on your console so kindly make sure it's still set as Home Xbox by following the steps below;

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

    3. Select Make this my home Xbox.

    If it's still set as your Home Xbox, try to resync your friend's Xbox profile to your console by following the steps below. Make sure that you know his account logins before doing these steps.

    REMOVE PROFILE:

    To remove a profile: From Profile & system, select Settings > Account > Remove accounts. Select a profile, then select Remove.

    POWER CYCLE CONSOLE:

    To restart your console: Press and hold the Xbox button on your controller, and then select Restart console > Restart. To power cycle your console if it's frozen: Press and hold the Xbox button on your controller for 10 seconds. Then press the Xbox button on the console or on your controller to turn your console back on.

    RE-ADD PROFILE:

    To add an Xbox profile to a console, press the Xbox button to open the guide and go to Profile & system. Select Add or switch, and then select Add new and follow the instructions.
