    Xbox home button won't work


    My controller home button has randomly stopped working, I've tried turning my XBOX and controller of and on hundreds of times, syncing and done a controller update and still no update. does anyone know how to fix this? I don't want to send away for a new
    one and be waiting for about a month with no XBOX. I can't accept party/game invites and to get to the home screen I need to turn the console off and on. Thanks.

    My Xbox One controllers home button isn't working

    I'm have a similar issue! My home button won't work and my Xbox won't let me type anything on the Xbox key board but the YouTube keyboard works!

    Pressing and holding the button on the controller only turns the controller off. It will turn the system on, however, but that's it.

    Sorry to hear it. Can you please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down? That should fix it for you

    The first thing I'd do is test to make sure it's an issue with the controller, and not it's connection to the device.

    Can you try connecting it via USB to the console and see if the home button still does not work? Or hook it up to a Windows 10 PC via USB or Bluetooth and see if the Home button opens up Game Bar?

    If it does not, then we have at least identified the issue as a problem with the controller, and not necessarily the console. And at that point I would recommend looking at your warranty replacement for the controller (Accessory under the console) at
