Xbox home button not working

Discus and support Xbox home button not working in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; the Xbox home button isn't working on any of my controllers, remote or on the xbox one app. I can't get out of any games or apps.     Xbox home button not working


    the Xbox home button isn't working on any of my controllers, remote or on the xbox one app. I can't get out of any games or apps. I have to shut down the xbox very time I want to do something else. Help! Anyone else having this problem?

    Xbox Home button not working

    Sorry to hear it. Can you please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down? That should fix it for you

    Pressing and holding the button on the controller only turns the controller off. It will turn the system on, however, but that's it.

    Can you check if any updates are for these controllers if not then disconnect the controller (Take the batteries out) then hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds then unplug the console from receiving power + HDMI and wait up to 5 minutes then
    plug it back in again.

    Another thing yo can do is press the button on TOP of the controller with the 3 Arrows and on the console. (It is on the left side of the console it has the same 3 Arrow marking in silver / chrome color) press both buttons simultaneously and the controller
    hopefully will work after this.

    Please perform a hard reset on the console EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and
    restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test the results. Let us know. Good Luck!!

    Xbox home button not working

    I've been having the same problem for the last few days with the home button not working but having followed the advice given above I am pleased to say that everything appears to be sorted now Xbox home button not working :)

    The first thing I'd do is test to make sure it's an issue with the controller, and not it's connection to the device.

    Can you try connecting it via USB to the console and see if the home button still does not work? Or hook it up to a Windows 10 PC via USB or Bluetooth and see if the Home button opens up Game Bar?

    If it does not, then we have at least identified the issue as a problem with the controller, and not necessarily the console. And at that point I would recommend looking at your warranty replacement for the controller (Accessory under the console) at
    Microsoft Device Support site here.
