    Xbox home button issues


    I have played my xbox one for a while but this might make me leave the xbox button on my controller still turn the controller on and off but it no longer works to bring me to the home screen so I have to reboot xbox every time I switch games or want to enter
    a party. any suggestions?

    How is your Elite Controller holding up?

    There is the light clicking but the home button issue must be a defect as my home button works flawlessly.

    Did you try doing a hard reset on the console? Hold the power button on the console down for 10 seconds or until it shuts down completely. Let is set for a couple of minutes then power it back up. Once it is logged back in test it and see if the results
    are different. Good Luck!

    I have the exact same problem and it won't let me hard reset, the only thing the home button works with is turning on the controller and nothing else.

    You might try and hook up the controller with the usb cord and update it ...

    did the home button work while connected by the usb cable ? I don't guess you have a second controller to try , or a friend nearby that would let you test with his ?
