    Xbox home account won't share games but shares gold!


    I just got an Xbox one x yesterday, added my friends account who I game share with, and can't play any of the games. They wont even show up on my ready to install. My old Xbox was a day one and finally cramped out, it game shared fine. We have spent alone
    of money on games together and now I can't play any of them. Everything is set right and I've reset the Xbox 3 times and still nothing. Even did a system reset and let it download the updates again. Still nothing I don't understand why it isn't working. Please
    help!

    Xbox live membership

    Hey I have a Xbox live membership on one account and need to share it with the other. They both share the same home Xbox but it won't share the gold membership. There is three accounts on the Xbox and it shares the membership wiht one but not the other.
    Any of y'all know How to fix this?

    Getting charged for 2nd subscription for family member in same home.

    You can share gold membership in xbox one among accounts through xbox home setting:

    My Home Xbox Setting on Xbox One | Share Your Xbox One

    As for xbox 360 you can't share gold membership among different accounts.

    I have the same issue. Support told me its a known issue and they are working on it, whatever that is worth.

    Just to be sure, you don't have gold from a My Home Xbox sharing, right? You own the gold membership on your specific account?

    Check here to be sure:
    https://account.microsoft.com/services/

    If you are my home xbox sharing, games with gold won't work if you don't have gold on your account, directly.

    Follow these steps to set up "Home Sharing" https://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/game-setup/my-home-xbox

    The quick version is to Set each others Xbox as "Home" For the Gamertag.

    The Gamertag with gold will "Share" with the accounts on that xbox. But that gold only works on THAT system for non gold accounts.

    My suggestion is that you make your son's profile the home Xbox. The account that has no gold should be set to home inorder to share the subscription.
    No. The account with gold has to be the one to set the console as their Home in order to share. The account without gold setting the console as his Home would not effect sharing of the gold account.

    Gold Sharing issue on family accounts

    You can only share gold on 1 console at a time, your Home console. So if the console you're using is set as your Home, they won't be able to use the gold on the other consoles. You would need to set one of the other consoles as your Home so other accounts
    can share it there and have gold on at least 1 more account in order to share on the 3rd console.
