    Xbox home account problems


    so when I first got my one I didn't really know how sharing worked so I let friend 1 set my account as his home account on his xbox for a game he wanted, friend 2 wanted the same game so he did the same. since friend 1 couldn't play the game any more he
    set my account to his xbox without my full permission (that makes 3 times). I buy games off the market place a lot, it's more convenient for me so it's kind of unfair how I have to pay for all my games but friend 1 gets them for free also how I can't play
    the games I paid for while I'm offline. So I want to know if I let microsoft know about my situation would they give me back my account or will I just have to wait the year?

    Thanks I appreciate the help. I just rememebered the password for my old account from 360, but I wasn't paying another $50 for 2 gold accounts.

    Sorry but you'll have to wait the year before you can set your console as your Home console again.

    I also wanted to let you know that it is against the ToU and CoC of the Live service to share your information out to others. Doing so could result in the gamertag being banned from the service altogether.

    I'm having a problem with me not being able to use my friends dlc. My friend let me set his home xbox to my xbox so I get his games and dlc, recently he brought the championship pack on advanced warfare and it won't let me use it. The dlc has downloaded
    on my xbox but whenever I try to use it, it says I need to download it and when I go to download it, it tells me I've already downloaded it but it still won't let me use it and I have no idea why. Can anyone help?

    DLC that contains in game items is only available to the gamertag that originally purchased it.

    Privacy Settings - Child/Custom Account Always Requires Adult Account to be Logged on

    Following a call to the Xbox One Support line the problem has been resolved.

    Effectively Account 1 was not marked as the 'Home Xbox' -

    Settings

    My Xbox

    Set as home Xbox

    Setting Account 1 as the Home Xbox solved the problem.

    The reason the account was configured in this way was Account 2 was set up first on Xmas morning for my son as he was so keen to play. (Note to Microsoft Xbox UX and Analysts).

    In addition the support from the Xbox line support team was first rate, superb customer service.

    Hi, if you're having problems with the Home Xbox setting it's best to call Xbox phone support, they may be willing to check and reset the Home Xbox feature on your account.
