Xbox help It refuses to apply update

My Xbox keeps turning off after the verification process in the OS update. I tried restarting it, power cycling, I unplugged it then plugged it back. I even tried to do a offline update but after the verification in the offline update it still shut off and
refused to turn back on until I press the power button. Then it has to restart the whole update again and shuts off after verifying without turning back on. I even cleared some space in my xbox but nothing seems to work. I even did a factory reset (the one
that kept my games and apps) but once it finishes verifying the OS update it shuts off and dose not turn back on. When I start it in offline mode it restarts just fine. So I don't know what to do. I don't need a Ethernet cable because my Xbox is able to connect
to wifi and download the update. Its just that after its done verifying it turns off and wont turn back on no matter what I do unless I manually turn it back on by pressing the power button (which restarts the update/cycle again.) It dose not give me a error
code or anything just shuts off when its done verifying until I start it up again. I give it at least an hour and a half but even after that nothing happens. It like my xbox dose not want to apply the update.

Please try an offline update when it switches off leave it, It will appear back on shortly to apply the update and then go to the verification. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/system-updates-solution

Part of the process it letting it run through the update , it may seem likenits just off but it is rebooting itself and getting ready to finalize, it has to start over if its interuppeted

Try power cycling your console by holding down the power button on your console for 10 seconds

What error messages/codes are you getting?

In my experience, most of the time when an update refuses to apply (either automatically or via the OSU) or a factory reset fails, this is down to a failing hard drive.
