xbox headset sound cutting out (help)

I have been experiencing a single problem that is very annoying since the last Xbox one update, my mic cuts out every time, i have narrowed it down, it is not the headset because i can use it on my PC and i have tried other headsets on the Xbox and the same
thing happens, its also not the HDMI cable because i swapped it with my PC HDMI cable which works perfectly fine and the problem still persists i unplug and plug the mic's back in and it work for like 5 minutes and dies out its not the controllers either because
i have swapped them out and even bought a brand new one i narrowed it down too the USB ports i think they are messed up, if i unplug the USB controller's and plug them back in its a 50/50 chance that the mic will work for a while but FFS i should not be having
this problem and i am not happy about this at all before this update i was able to use my mic no problem and now i cant... this is ridiculous i do not know what too do from here and i do not want to get it repaired by some random shop because i do not think
they will understand the situation if there is any advice u can give me please i feel like i have done everything i even messed with the audio settings in the xbox and still no avail everything plays through my TV just fine...

Sound Cutting Out

Picked up the game yesterday. With the servers going down for a couple hours I was only able to play for about 2 hrs but I was pleasantly surprised at the improvements I saw compared to the BETA.

I do have some sort of sound issue though. I know some games I play the sound will cut out here and there, usually it’s not too distracting because it doesn’t happen too much. But on Battlefield 3 it happens quite often. I’d say once a minute or ever other
minute. On the BETA the sound would completely cut out for like half the match sporadically. I didn’t experience that last night but the sound did cut out for a split second, it was always really quick and then came right back but it is distracting.

Not good, that happened a lot during the beta but you would have hoped they had fixed it for release.

Tried re-syncing your controller?, updating it? Your NAT is open? Are you using an old day one controller with an adapter or something?

I am having the same problem, I have the Astro A50 headset, the audio cuts in and out constantly, the Astros have a base station for charging the headset connected via the USB for power and the optical cable for sound. I notice when the sound cuts out the
lights on my base station go out as if it has lost connection intermediately. When I move the base station for the headset and my router away from my xbox by about a foot or two, the audio stops cutting in and out and works perfectly. Must be some interference
wifi maybe?

If you're experiencing audio cut outs and no sound while playing Call of Duty online, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

Check your headset's battery level: If your wireless headset battery is low, it can cause audio cut outs or no sound. Charge your headset fully and see if the issue is resolved.

Check your headset's firmware: Ensure that your headset is running the latest firmware. You can do this by using the Xbox Accessories app on your Xbox console or Windows 10 PC.

Check the game settings: Go to the game settings and ensure that the audio settings are correctly set to your headset.

Try testing it on a different controller to help isolate the problem. It could be either the controller or the headset. You can also try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

Small update - having updated the controller wirelessly yesterday evening with no result, I have seen a few suggestions of updating via usb cable. I’ve now updated the controller again via usb and when I plug the headset in now I get 1-2 seconds of sound
before it cuts out the audio to my headset as well as the tv. I’m assuming it cuts out sound to the tv as the xbox sends it to the controller?

The xbox is also recognising my voice through the mic as my name comes up in party overlay.
