Xbox headset settings grayed out (read comment)

1.) The setting appears, but is grayed out and inaccessible. The setting is set to 0, and cannot be altered.

2.) Both headsets are wireless.

Alright. As I've already stated, a new headset doesn't change anything. The audio settings are completely grayed out as if I didn't have a headset plugged in. I managed to revert the firmware of my controller through my Surface laptop, but still no audio. Thanks for trying to help!

with regard to minecraft only having multiplayer at certain settings, do you see it as an option only when the video is set to 720? or are they grayed out until the settings are adjusted?

The next step will be for you to try and perform a power cycle to your console by pressing down the power button on your console for 10 seconds until you make sure it is off. After that please unplug the power cable and wait for 10-15 seconds, then plug it back and switch your console on.
