Xbox Headset playing sound but mic not working

Hi guys,

I have tested the mic on my PC and it works fine. Have also updated the console and controller and it hasn't fixed the issue. I'm also having the issue of when I'm on the dashboard and scroll to the right the audio settings option does not appear...

Like I said both the xbox and turtle headset mics work fine just don't get sound out of them. Is there a setting inside xbox that might have turned off the sound to the headsets as xbox plays fine through my tv no problem with the sound.

 

Xbox One Headset Adapter Problems

I have a turtle beach px21 headset and purchased the xbox one headset adapter. The stereo sound is coming through really well, but the mic isn't working with it. Is this a known issue or is my headset mic not compatible with the xbox one?

 

It may be the headset brand. If it is Microsoft brand, you might want to get a new one.

Headset Troubleshoot site a shot.

 

If you do not have this headset on the Xbox Adapter but you have it on the classic jack, you can have the microphone muted in the Audius Headset setting, press the dashboard on the xbox, move the button to the toothed wheel and there will be an AUDIO and
you will turn on the microphone and everything other.

 

I already happened to me also bro.
No more choice but to take it to technical service.

 

Part of the issue is that when I hit dashboard and go to the toothed wheel, the audio option is not appearing...

 

It's a turtle beach headset, any idea how I do this?

Thanks for keeping us updated by replying. Since you're unable to view the gear symbol to see the audio settings from the OneGuide, it begs the question of if you're seeing the headset symbol in the upper-right corner of the screen when the headset jack
is placed into the port on your controller. If not, then the headset is not being recognized by the controller and you may wish to try it out on a separate controller to see if you get the same or a different result. Here are couple of handy articles from
