    Hello all! Im gonna start by saying I am an adult not a child ranting on this forum, secondly xbox controllers suck [mod removed]! Ok so I’ve had my xbox for about a year now and at first my brand new controller worked fine but soon after it would not accept
    the connection to my controller and so after investigating online i found that the controllers seem to have a [mod removed] headphone jack so i went and bought the 40 dollar stereo headset adapter and that worked for a few months but now that [mod removed]
    stays dead no matter what i do i have it plugged in to my xbox using a micro usb and it just doesn’t work! I went to update the firmware and i cant even fricken do that because it keeps saying my controller needs new batteries or needs to be plugged in like
    cmon now! So pretty much im gonna buy a [mod removed] ps4 because i already know whoever is going to try and help me is going to tel me that my [mod removed] 100 dollar controller set up needs to be rebought again and i rather just buy a [mod removed] ps4
    with that money so if you stumbled on this because you have the same problem... theres no fix microcock just makes [mod removed] products... thanks for reading this and have a great day!

    If I understand your question...

    Q: If you buy the Stereo Adapter, will this allow you to hear sound.

    A: Yes, the stereo adapter will allow you to plug in headphones to hear sound. I omitted the headset that comes with the adapter just in case you already have headphones.

    (The Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter lets you plug a compatible chat or stereo headset into the Xbox One Controller to control your audio experience without taking your hands off the controller.)

    The adapter will work with many existing headphones, but you can opt to buy the Xbox Headphones (w/Mic) and adapter too

    You should be able to use the headphones on the Xbox One X as it doesn't require any adapter for headphones.

    With the Stereo Headset Adapter for Xbox One, most headphones with a 3.5mm headphone jack will play game audio! :)

    I have no sound at all in my headphone. only when im long pressing a button on the adapter for my headphones. and im using the xbox stereo headset.

    The audio setting is set to windows sonic for headphones.

    will produce sound from the xbox one controller to the xbox one stereo adapter which the headphones will allow you to plug the XBox Headphones in and hear sound and chat with the mic.

    watch the video in the link above. At the end it shows the adapter, and the cord on the headphones that you would plug in.
