Xbox HDMI cable problem

Hello ,

after i bought the consle and played for like 4 monthes and every thing was okay but now i go turn it on the monitor is blue and the tv is not get any signal but the consle is on so i searched and found many people had this problem before so what can i do
!?

Thank you Jesse for the assistance but I have still failed to see anything on the TV. I have tried this on a different TV and it had a troubleshooter for the HDMI and it was suggesting there was a problem with the HDMI cable but the HDMI cable works for another device so surely there cannot be a problem with the cable but can there be a problem with the HDMI socket on the Xbox?

Hi Mohamed,

If you have tried multiple HDMI cables already and have tested it on at least one other TV or monitor and the screen is still blank, then you will need to send in the console for repair unfortunately.

You can register your console to your Microsoft account and see what offers are available depending on your warranty which it should still have warranty if you've only had it for 4 months. Follow this support article for assistance with device support:

Hey there Mohamed,

Sorry to hear you are running into these issues with the display. Have you tested out different HDMI ports and possibly tried setting up the console on a separate TV just to determine that the issue is not coming from either the HDMI or the TV.

Of course if we have the same results on another device with a different HDMI cable then go ahead and take a look at the following support article to troubleshoot this issue.

Is there any way you could try using a different HDMI cable with your current television?

Try unplugging the HDMI cable before plugging in the power block. Once the HDMI cable is unplugged, plug in the power cable and then try turning on the console. If there is no problem when the HDMI cable is in, it is likely to be a problem with either the
cable or the television.

If it works fine when using other cables and a different television, try with the composite cable (3 colour cable) on the original television.

If it works with the composite cable on the original television, it is likely to be a problem with the HDMI cable.

If this is still a problem, try using the HDMI cable with a different television.

If the HDMI cable causes no problem when using it with a different television, it is more likely to be a problem concerning the television.
