Xbox has no HDMI signal, controllers cannot connect. Essentially dead.

I have had this xbox since day one 2013 with minimal to no issues. Today however, I experienced an issue that rendered the thing useless.

Background: I was playing overwatch while talking in a party and having TV snapped. I also was installing a game in the background (Forza Horizon 3). No issues so far. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, I stop hearing and sound from party chat, so I go to reconnect
by pressing the home button, and the thing starts bugging out on me, going in and out of the menus as if I was pressing the button when I was not. So I try doing a hard reset, and once I try to turn it on, there is no HDMI output signal, controllers cannot
connect, and I'm essentially helpless in trouble shooting this. The light however is powered on and it does sound like the fans are running, so something is happening in there. Other then the fact that it is on though, there is no activity.

Attempts so far: I have tried two controllers to connect so far - neither of them will budge. For the output signal, I have tried two different monitors. Again, no avail. I've tried soft resets, hard resets, removing the power cable, none of which have worked.
I would be completely shocked to hear that one of the HDMI cables are broken, as it would make no sense in the context of this issue considering both occurrences. There must be some link between the two, as I've never had either one of these issues before,
and I doubt it is purely coincidental that they both happen to occur at essentially the exact same time.

I genuinely have no clue what happened - it all came about randomly. It may have been an overload of data processing, but it all happened at once with no lead up. Any help is appreciated, though I wouldn't be surprised if this is a hardware issue that can
    only be solved with repair.

    :)

Xbox turns on but my controllers won't connect to it and tv?

if you are using hdmi then the controllers will not connect until the tv gets the hd signal from the xbox. my controllers will keep blinking until the tv finds the signal, so the main issue is the lack of signal to the tv, is your hdmi cable plugged in properly?
mine comes loose from time to time. id the cable faulty? have you maybe plugged it in to the wrong hdmi channel if you have more than one on your tv? I have 3 hd ports on mine and i have often plugged it into port 1 and then try getting signal from port 3.

    Hey there jsniper582,

It does sounds like something has happened with the console unfortunately. Before you explore a repair though, let's first have you try this guide for a blank screen issue and see if it helps out:

Troubleshooting a blank TV screen or monitor while your Xbox One is on
More specifically the steps under "Your screen is blank after you turn on the console."

Keep us posted on this and let us know how it goes!

    Audio cuts/Game Crashing

So the problem has actually gotten worse, the console turns on but the controller won’t connect and the Xbox no longer sends an HDMI signal to the monitor. I ordered a new PSU in hopes that solves the problem

hd component cable is not working

i was using the hdmi cable before. ive tried resetting it with the cables in but it doesnt work as the wireless controller wont connect until the xbox has booted up which it doesnt do unless it has a valid signal to the tv. the controller will just flash
constantly trying to connect but not connecting because the xbox wont fully start up which makes it impossible to reset it with the cables in.

Xbox One **** off projector after ~15min. Anyone have a solution?

When projector is connected to other sources it does not turn off. I believe I found a solution. In the video setting on the AV receiver (Denon AVR-S540BT), I changed the “HDMI control” from Off to On. This enabled the “Pow. Off Control” option which I set to Off.

So far this has worked. My theory is the Xbox was sending a power off signal through the HDMI, so this setting should block AV receiver from processing the signal.
