Xbox has been turning itself on

Hey there!

When was the last time your console was wiped down? Unplug your console and spray a soft, clean cloth with some household cleaner. Then wipe the front of your console and clean it to be sure that there's nothing over the power button. Also, if your console
is in instant-on mode, try
switching it to energy-saver mode. Also, is it possible that someone is connecting their smart phone or tablet to your console via the Xbox App and using that to power it on after it's been shut off?

It's also been happening to me. I say "xbox on" and everything turns on (tv/receiver) then the Xbox One turns itself off. repeating "xbox on" does nothing. trying to turn the X1 via the controller did nothing. had to press the button on the box itself
for it to boot up....which then turned off my tv and receiver. This has happened twice (just now and yesterday).

Is this not something that has been turned on in the settings of your cable box or maybe coming from the channel itself?

I've seen this in Dance Central. My Kinect has also been turning itself off and it won't turn on unless I unplug it then plug it back in.

Doesn't MS fix anything? A year later and CC still turns itself back on after it has been turned off (app mlb.TV)
