Xbox has been missing an opportunity

Xbox has been missing an opportunity, as a result it is making the Xbox One sales suffer.

Xbox is facing 2 problems. First the value of PS4 vs. Xbox One. Second is Xbox One cost vs. Xbox 360 investment already made by customers. At this time PS4 is out selling Xbox One. I believe this is due to the 2nd problem. Many have said the best way to remove
this problem altogether is to make the system backwards compatible and now its too late. That would have been counter productive and costly resulting in a more expensive product. There is a better way. It can also still be done even now that would result in
solving both problems Xbox is facing.

Solution: Allow 360 games owned by user to be added to account allowing user to build a game library that can download or be removed from Xbox one as needed. This allows user to no longer be limited by space. This will also allow users to retain their investment
made on 360, breaking their resistance to upgrade. This will give every new Xbox to come out more value.

Think Scorpio would be better as a new gen not connected to the Xbox One so it's power could be fully taken advantage of.

You think people would be interested in a more expensive Xbox 360? I disagree.

 

I don't want to pay for the Xbox One and only have 1 game to play when i get it. I have already invested so much in my 360 for me and my kids. That's just money in the trash. When you get a new computer do always start with nothing on it and only get new
things for it. No, you save all the things of value and move it to the new one. Dose that make the new one more expensive? No. It gives it usefulness as soon as you get it and it can still do all the fun cool new things. This also gives you time to grow out
of the old in to the new.

And i see your point but IMO i would not want to put all my 360 stuff on my One, that means 120 gig already gone on top of the what 130 they already take!

You would have your games linked to your account, you can just download them when you want to play a game. Have 8 or 9 games on your xbox at a time to just hop on and play or remove them when your not. you would have a list of active and inactive games
on your game list. space would never be a problem.

 

Want to make it worth the money? Make the Kinect optional and then drop the base price to $349. At least then it would be competitive with the PS4 even though it has weak hardware in comparison.

I have 8 games already on my xbox i can do that with. Deleting and re downloading is not convenient.

I would rather a multiple terabyte External HD releases, and a few other features. Then maybe some games becoming BC as long as you can get them for free if you already own the license elsewhere on Xbox. "360"

Besides that lets just keep moving into the future IMO :]

 

Xbox One is crushing 360 sales compared to the same point in it's lifespan.....

 

The point is being lost. 120G is a lot of games. point is you could have the ability to play any game you have already payed for on your 360 on your new one. So you have 8 new Xbox one games. you would also have the ability to upload a Lego batman when your
brother brings his kids over. You wont have to pay for it because you already had it on your 360. These are older games no reason to have them all on your Xbox at the same time. All your new games you will still have the disks for. or you could have the ability
to download them seeing you already own the license if the disk gets messed up. All around this give value to the Xbox. all of these things would make Xbox a stronger buy then PS4. My wife isn't going to get in to play halo or assassins creed by just playing
the new game.

So... Keep your 360, problem solved. Backwards compatibility isn't going to happen, especially at this point. The architecture is completely different compared to the 360 and MS isn't going to spend time and money on it. Apparently there just aren't enough
people interested to make it worthwhile. I still remember the last gen MS said it was their goal to make EVERY Xbox game compatible with the 360. They failed pretty bad by quitting at 60% because it apparently wasn't worth their time and resources.

 

Wait a minute, if you have invested so much in your 360, why don't you just keep it, and play it? You don't have to give it up, it's not like the games are suddenly bad now.

 

So you are saying they JUST have to make all 360 content available on xbox one? You mean how Playstation has all PS3 titles available on PS4? You are right, Xbox must be suffering because they didn't do the same thing that Playstation didn't. I fail to even
see the logic in your argument.
