    Xbox has a functioning power button but no sync or eject comunication.


    For some reason my power button works but the eject button and wireless controller sync button do not work. I have taken the Xbox apart and the ribbon wire is perfectly fine so would it be a failure of the connector that holds and links the ribbon to the
    IR Board? And keep in mind the warranties on both my Xbox ones are out of date which is why I'm here asking. I don't want to waste time soldering pieces and replacing what may not need replaced.

    nothing showing up

    my xbox one will turn on and has to be turn off by pressing the power button also , shows nothing and the controller will not sync either, i have tried hard reboot , tried the eject and power button together nd still get no visual or anything

    I already tried DIFFERENT wall outlet, NO LUCK.I know about, sync button,
    eject button, power button unfortunately i don't have a
    sync button Xbox has a functioning power button but no sync or eject comunication. :(.

    Even though the consoles are out of warranty, self-repair is a violation of the terms of service and cannot be discussed here.

    I'm sorry to hear that. In order to perform the factory reset, you actually need to press and hold the sync and eject buttons.

    Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in. Press and hold the SYNC button and the EJECT button, and then press the Xbox button on the console. Continue holding the SYNC and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the SYNC and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

    Try this on it:

    1. Turn off your Xbox completely by holding the power button for 10 seconds. Unplug it from the wall, wait for 1 minute, and plug it back.

    2. Press and hold the Sync and Eject buttons.

    3. Press the power button, and keep holding the Sync and Eject buttons together.

    4. Keep holding the Sync and Eject buttons, until the troubleshooting menu appears.

    5. Select the option "restore this xbox" and choose keep my games and apps.
