Discus and support XBox Hard Drive Space in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; So I love my Xbox one s and the one x is cool but with no custom consoles to flaunt my style I haven't still felt the push, just holding out for more....     XBox Hard Drive Space


    So I love my Xbox one s and the one x is cool but with no custom consoles to flaunt my style I haven't still felt the push, just holding out for more. Wouldn't it be nice if they released a one s or one x with bigger hard drive capacity. I mean internet
    now days is way faster than it used to be and yeah you can buy an external HDD to sit next to it but I don't want anything hanging off my console honestly. I just want to not have to choose which games to uninstall and reinstall all the time and with every
    new game that releases with high end graphics and longer campaigns, the fewer number of games I get to leave installed on my console.

    Xbox One to Offer Free 'Unlimited Hard Drive Space' Via the Cloud

    Thats great news to hear the that Xbox will offer free unlimited hard drive space via the cloud. With all the new features on the xbox, im not surprised that this was added. All these new features are going to take alot of space and people wont be happy having to fork up extra money paying for a bigger hard drive.

    Xbox Ideas Website. It's a site for our community members to post ideas for Microsoft's viewing. Other like minded users can upvote your ideas or comment on them to expand.

    The HDD is at the top of the list of expenses for both SONY and MS and to keep our costs down they choose smaller drives. A lot of the manufacturers make external drives now that blend seamlessly with the console. I have a 4TB drive I paid $80 for and it’s
    way smaller than a pack of cards.

    If you want to pay more for a console then that's fine, but don't expect the same price as it is now but with double the hard drive space.

    Even SSD prices are falling a decent amount as of late. I'll be you'll see more space and faster drives in the next year or so. Personally, I don't mind having an external HDD connected to my console. At one point I even had two just to test it out.

    That is the correct storage for that size hard drive. Because of the way storage space is calculated, any hard drive you buy actually has less usable storage space because the numbers are rounded up. Then there are system files added to the hard drive
    for the Xbox One that take up space. So you're left with 364 GB of usable space.

    Manufacturers usually round up on the amount of storage space on hard drive (any hard drive you buy, not just the ones in an Xbox) so they actually have less space on them than what is listed. Plus the Xbox hard drive have system files on them that take
    up part of the hard drive as well.

    Check the space on your hard drive

    View your notifications on your Xbox One console to make sure you have enough space on your hard drive to install the content. Here’s how:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide, select Communication > Messages from Xbox Live.
    2. See if there are any notifications about low or unavailable hard drive space. Xbox One will alert you when you’re running low.
    3. If there’s a notification about low hard drive space, you’ll have to either delete content to free up space or add an external drive. For information about setting up and managing external storage, see How

    I bought a 320G HD, but the damn thing says it has only 229G!

    Anytime you purchase a hard drive, there is actually slightly less space than what's written on the box due to how that space is calculated. With Xbox hard drives there is also hidden system files needed on those drives. So that takes up more space. So that
