Discus and support Xbox Hard Drive Issue in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I recently bought an Xbox 360 S genuine microsoft drvie from ebay but it wont work on my Xbox 360E console i get error code E 68 and no red blinking...     Xbox Hard Drive Issue


    I recently bought an Xbox 360 S genuine microsoft drvie from ebay but it wont work on my Xbox 360E console i get error code E 68 and no red blinking lights just a solid red light in center of power button. Any advice?

    Hard drive issue??

    The no gamer pic and 0 gamerscore on my friends list just happened even though it was fine this morning. Everyone is a silver it says as well. Not sure what the problem is, seeing as I just turned it on and this happened. My 360 hasn't been freezing either,
    but it did take a tiny bit longer to connect to Live randomly and nothing has been changed.

    E68 usually indicates a faulty hard drive.

    Does your console still function once the drive is removed?

    I would get on to your ebay seller and get an exchange.

    Edit: is your console connected online?

    Storage errors

    The game requires an Xbox hard drive due to the system files on the hard drive. So it's not a storage issue, it's the issue of not having an actual Xbox hard drive. The 4gb is internal flash memory and not a hard drive. Unfortunately, this is a requirement
    for some games.

    Update-

    It appears to be an issue with the hard drive cables/hard drive. I took the hard drive out, turned it on and it turns on every time, but as soon I try starting it with the hard drive installed it turns on then off. The hard drive isn't the issue as I tested
    my other Xbox hard drive as well.

    Try plugging the hard drive into a PC, if that recognizes it, then at least you know it's an issue with the Xbox. If the hard drive doesn't work on PC, then it will be an issue with the drive.

    If it's an issue with the Xbox, then try changing the USB socket it is connected to, sometimes that can help it fix the issue. Plug the hard drive in when the Xbox is turned on, then see if the Xbox recognizes it.

    If it is the hard drive, then try formatting it on the PC first, then see if you can connect it back to the Xbox and format it on there again, that might get it working. If it doesn't, then you might need to download the official hard drive tools for the
    PC from the hard drive manufacturers website, to see if you can repair the drive.
