Xbox Guide Bar not working

My xbox guide bar hast stopped working. The screen goes dark like its about to pull it up and then does nothing. This has only started happening today. I do realize that there was a xbox one preview update recently. Any way to fix this? Tech support was

Xbox Game Bar Not Working

The only thing I've personally found that works is to perform a system reset. Which is REALLY annoying.

Did you try doing a hard reset on your console? Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the
console. Once it is back up and operational test for results.

thanks it works now but its very slow while its loading or while im on the xbox guide but my connection is on full bars

The Xbox Gamer Bar works as a monitor to visualize some options within the game. this is why it closes. If you use an Xbox controller to play on the PC, with the button that has the Xbox logo (guide button) you can open the Game Bar with a single click, basically
it's just a popup menu.

Yes, I actually had this issue recently and what worked for me was going into windows powershell and uninstalling Game bar and then reinstalling it from the xbox app, the link below shows the step by step guid on how to do it, itll show two options to uninstall , for current user or for all users, the current user seemed to work for me!
