Xbox Guide and other commands not working properly

Since getting the one guide, my Xbox One was working great. It would change channels, page up and down etc. Lately, however, nothing seems to work right. Just getting the xbox to turn on can take anywhere from 3 to 15 tries.

Getting it to turn to specific channels has now become a chore. It seems to have great difficulty understanding what channel we want. Also, some channels will appear in the guide with the channel number, name and what is on but, the channel name is white
while all other channels on the screen are green so I cannot pick the white channel. Not sure how it could have the name of the network, the channel number and current programming for the channel but no way to choose the channel.

I will say "page up" and it may or may not do so, depending on its mood. Sometimes it will work 1 or 2 times and then just stop. It's still in listen mode but, it will not obey any command.

Some examples of just how "off" the channel surfing can be are:

When I say watch YTV - it takes me to W channel

When I say watch comedy - it takes me to TSN2

As you can see, its not even in the same ball park. I could see if the names sounded similar but, they do not.

My cable provider is Cogeco North Bay, ON, Canada

Anyone else having trouble lately? Especially with this particular provider?

Xbox One - FAQ

Not sure what I've done, but TV seems to be working much better with Fibre Op now. I've programmed my Harmony 900 remote to handle the commands for TV into the XB1 activity, so I'm now able to view the guide and control the common TV components. It's working
alright, but really looking forward to using the One Guide properly.
