I just purchased a xbox gold for a year on xbox one. The gold won't activate on my xbox but it says that I'm subscribed when I go online to my account on my computer. I checked and it did take the money for the purchase. What do I need to do?

XBOX Gold activation problem

I used the code that came with my XBOX One to activate my Gold membership. I did the full setup process, and got a confirmation email. For some reason, my XBOX won't recognize my activation. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi, your gamercard here still shows you as a silver member, It can take a while for the subscription to update but there are some things you can check.

Is it possible you updated a different account to gold ?

Try removing and adding your account back to the Xbox.

Xbox One titles that is given as Games with Gold will need an active Gold subscription to be able to be played.

Xbox 360 titles you won't need an active Gold subscription to play, as long as it is supported on the marketplace.

Nothing.You need an active gold sub to play any xbox one games with gold but not for xbox 360 games.

Doesn't matter if it's just a gold sub or a ultimate sub.

Even if you let either subscription expire you will still have the games,you just won't be able to play the xbox one GWG until you reactivate either a gold subscription or an ultimate subscription.

By any chance is your xbox live gold still active, if so it won't let you redeem the trial code.

Hello,

The Xbox One only requires one active gold membership for that console. Anyone that then signs into that console will have their own gold membership. It's not possible to merge these accounts if that's what you're inquiring about. Each account will continue
to be it's own separate entity with it's own gamerscore, saves, etc. You just won't have to pay for their Xbox LIVE Gold memberships if they wish to exclusively play on the Xbox One console and not go back to their Xbox 360.

If anyone wishes to use Xbox LIVE on their Xbox 360 console they will need a gold membership for the account that wishes to play online. The gold sharing feature is only available for the Xbox One.

When you login to Xbox .com. does it show your profile as Xbox Gold Or Free User. Normally Xbox Live Gold Trial is only active once you have made the profile on the Xbox itself. Using xbox.com won't give you gold access.
