Xbox Gold Tenure Reset

Hi

I phoned the support line and they told me to post on the support forum, but didn't specify where so please direct me to the right place if this isn't it.

I joined Xbox Live Gold about 7 to 8 years ago and set my locale to Gb. Today I had to change my locale to South Africa because I needed to renew and it would no longer accept my PayPal due to further regional restrictions. After changing my locale online,
deleting my profile/cache from the console and redownloading my profile, it now says my "Tenure" is 0 years, down from 7. Is there any way to correct this? Any help will be appreciated, cheers.

Xbox One TENURE icon missing

you have to be gold to have a tenure icon if you use game sharing and the other guy have the gold you wont get the tenure icon you need to have your own gold subscription

EDIT: the tenure won't reset when you renew your gold subscription

Incorrect Profile Info

Hi CaptainKush....the number you are referring to is not the age of your gamer tag, it is the age of your tenure with Xbox Live Gold. If you were unable to play Xbox for a couple of years then you're tenure was reset back to zero. You can only go a couple
of months without gold on your account before it gets reset back to zero. The tenure is how long you have been a "consistent" gold subscriber. Hope that explains it.

Tenure does not count while you are in a Silver membership status. When you add a Gold membership to your account your Tenure will repopulate the account.

Hi and thanks for the response! I should have been more clear; I renewed my Gold after changing my locale and it still says 0 years.

Right now you're still showing as a Silver account. That will be why you are not showing tenure.

As soon as the gold has stopped and reverted back to silver you loose any tenure

You are finally showing as a Gold membership holder. Give it about a week for the tenure to start showing for you again.

Changing your region/locale can take weeks to process. Before the option to perform the action on the website you would have to call and get an escalations team involved and it could take months, so it sounds like now you are showing Gold it shouldn't be
longer until your tenure comes back.

I'm not sure if they're still having tenure issues in general either, there's a sticky that's dated over a year ago; I don't know why they would leave it up as unresolved if they have fixed it, so that could be another issue coupled with you region change.

My tenure did fix itself in the end and thankfully didn't need to phone or email anybody to make it happen.

Did your Xbox Gold Account run out and then you renewed it 3 months later, if this is the case it would explain why your tenure was reset. From my understanding your Gold tenure status is based on how long you are a continuous Gold member for, if you have
a break between renewing your account and it reverts back to silver account it will reset your tenure. The only way to fix this is to continuously remain a Xbox Gold Member without reverting back to Silver Membership.

Not sure if this is the case for everyone, but Xbox Live Gold Tenure is calculated based on the number of CONSECUTIVE years from today counting back where you maintained a gold subscription. So if you are no longer a Gold member then your Tenure is reset
to zero. If your membership expired yesterday and you renewed today than your Tenure is zero. If you go to

commerce.microsoft.com/.../Subscription click on View History and start at the bottom. If there is a break from one subscription's expiration date to another subscription's purchase date then your Tenure will reset and begin from that next purchase date.

[/quote]They do not Reset Tenure. It simply begins again at the last Tenure when the Profile is Gold again. It also does not have to be a year consecutive (read that above). It can be whatever at a time as long as it is paid.
