    I bought a 12 month gold subscription for my son and applied to his account, but turns out he can't get any free games because they are either (18) or for xbox360 and a child account on xbox one can't get the xbox360 games - thanks for the helpful 'use an
    xbox 360' comment, but this wasn't specified in the terms.

    Can we transfer the subscription to my account so I can download - I believe I can share the benefits like multi-user play with my son on the same xbox?

    If we can't transfer, can I get a refund so I can buy a new subscription?

    No, to get an Xbox LIVE Gold subscription on another account you will have to buy another Gold subscription, you cannot transfer Gold from one account to another.

    Afraid there isn't an option to transfer the membership, but if you set your Xbox One as your son's home console, your account should receive all benefits of his gold membership. Let us know if that helps Xbox gold subscription transfer :)
