xbox gold subscription - problem

Can anyone advise? I have renewed x-box gold subscription for February. However, when I log on to Xbox gold, it says 'change your limit family settings'. I'm not sure what this is about? January was our first month using it and there was no issues....
not sure what to do?

Wait so you get 2 free games every month even if you stop paying for Gold??

Yeah, unless something has changed recently, you get to keep your Xbox 360 gold games.

But the Xbox One gold games you need to have an active subscription.

Here it is from the official Xbox site:

What happens to my Games with Gold games if I cancel my Xbox Live Gold subscription?

On Xbox One, you’ll no longer be able to access your Games with Gold titles if you cancel your subscription. However, if you decide to renew your subscription at any time, you’ll be able to access and play your previously redeemed Games with Gold titles again.

On Xbox 360, any Games with Gold titles that you redeem as an Xbox Live Gold member are yours to keep, regardless of whether you continue your subscription.Click to expand...

You can cancel auto-renewal at any time. Here's the steps to do so:
support.xbox.com/.../cancel-xbox-live-gold-subscription hope that helps your problem.

That would be the problem. Trials don't change your account status to gold. A full gold subscription is required in order to download the 360 games with gold games. Xbox One games with gold games required a gold subscription to keep playing them for free,
so they can be downloaded with a trial.
