    Xbox Gold Quest - October


    I've spoken about this with support via live chat (reference [Mod Removed – Personal Information].) and they suggested I ask in the forums. For the Xbox Gold Quest - October, I completed all the steps and almost 6 weeks have passed yet I've
    heard nothing about the two rewards that should have been earned (2x $5 - or in my case the UK equivalent in £ - that should be relayed in a message on my Xbox).

    I can see on my Xbox account dashboard that I played 36 minutes of Trove, 54 minutes of Crossout and 133 minutes of Livelock, with Livelock showing some achievements with the date on as well, so that is all three steps definitely successfully completed.
    Is it possible for this to be looked into further please?

    I'm not sure why support asked to post this in the forums as no one here is able to access your account. Normally, quests rewards are sent in the following month, so your October's rewards should be delivered by the end of this month.

    You should try to
    contact support
    again if you don't receive your rewards by the end of November.

    I know, I literally said exactly the same to the Live Chat support guy. Yet he insisted he couldn't help (and could only deal with transactions and subscriptions) but that an Ambassador could somehow escalate things in the forums. There was no explanation
    as to how that would be achieved without having any access to my account when I asked, but at that point I couldn't do anything other than say I'd give it a try, despite knowing it's most likely a waste of time.

    I'm sorry to hear that it's been a hassle trying to figure out when the rewards are arriving. According to the Xbox Gold quest offer terms and conditions the offers will be fulfilled approximately 4-6 weeks after the offer period was over. The offer itself
    started on September 17, 2018 and ended on October 15, 2018. So approximately the latest for the rewards to arrive should be by the end of November.

    It is now December, and I don't have any rewards. There also was no November quest, and I see no December quest. This was the first quest I actually completed, because I found a way to track progress, and now nothing.

    I was aware of the T&C's but as it was, at that point, 5 1/2 weeks since the promotion ended with no indication as to whether I'd even being tracked as having qualified let alone whether I would be receiving anything at all at the end of this nebulous
    "approximately 4-6 weeks", it would seem likely that if nothing had happened by then then it probably wouldn't happen at all. I don't think it's acceptable to say "why not wait 7 weeks and if nothing has happened by then maybe see if you can find someone
    who will accept any sort of responsibility for it", but I can just follow what I'm told as best I can as I've been offered no other choice.

    Anyway, somewhat unsurprisingly, we're now well into the 7th week (beyond the end of November) and nothing whatsoever has happened. I guess that means it's time to contact support again, no doubt in order to be redirected back here once more in a continual
    circle of frustration.

    The worst thing is I know this sort of issue is affecting an awful lot of people, the vast majority of whom won't even know who to ask, how to find out what's going on and so will just leave it because it's not worth the effort. These things are entered
    and completed in good faith, if they're so poorly communicated it just ends up causing ill-feeling for what should be a positive experience.

    Just spent 25 minutes on the phone to Microsoft Support, they don't seem to have any knowledge or visibility of this promotion at all. It's also very hard to get across what it actually is (or was) as well when you can't point someone directly to the T&C's
    page which covers things better either, I did my best in attempting to explain it in detail but I think there were a few crossed wires regardless, and even trying to point them directly to this thread, which contains all the detail, proved impossible although
    they were as helpful as they could be despite that.

    So it's still going to have to be something that's escalated while they try and find out for themselves what the promotion actually is. I do appreciate that this is getting somewhere, and I should be getting a call back this afternoon to confirm my eligibility
    and hopefully the reward for it, but having to go through all this time and effort is absolutely crazy. These promotions should either just work, or they shouldn't be offered in the first place. Worst case there should be a direct and clear path to resolve
    such issues, but that just doesn't exist.

    Got to say, it's unlikely that I'm ever going to bother with any of these promotions ever again, this one hasn't worked, a recent 5000 point Rewards punchcard hasn't worked (and for many, many people, not just me), these promotions are complete mess, every
    time. I've no idea if anyone at Microsoft even realises this either, given there's no way to actually communicate it.

    It should show the status of the October quest. This was the first I ever copmleted as I started gaming on xbox again a little bit and could actually track the time played on the xbox. What I read about other quests seemed to be OK to pretty good rewards
    occasionally so I decided to start completing. Of course they chose now to stop doing anything with them.

    The end of the September Gold Quests was October 15th, and it has been far over the 4-6 weeks stated. I am not a member of Game Pass, and am only talking about the Gold Quests.
