    Xbox gold pre-paid card always says the same "something happened. Try it in a while"


    Hi, when I enter the code it transfer my to another xbox link to redeem it, it says that the code is for gold for 1month, but when i click confirm I get that error, tried buying another prepaid card and still nothing... feeling like I just wasted my money...
    and btw support servers doesnt work

    Sorry to hear about the issue with redeeming the codes. Have you tried the Prepaid Code Troubleshooting guide yet? Sometimes that can help out. Where are you physically located
    currently? Does your account match the region? Is your console also connecting to Xbox Live within that region? Try to redeem the code on xbox.com HERE. Generally we see this error if either your account doesn't match
    the region you're physically located in, or the region you're physically located in is not currently an Xbox Live Supported Country, which you can see the full list of supported regions
    HERE.

    Which country are you currently located in? Does your account match that region?

    Payment Options Issue

    Yes, my grandmother contacted the bank and had her bank like block Xbox or something, because I think it did do an auto renewal already and took money out for it. So basically, I have to talk her into calling her bank and unblocking this? Not happening...
    Guess I will just have to wait until I get my debit card -_-

    Also, if I remove the card while I'm on gold it will get rid of my gold status, even if I used a pre-paid card?

    Are you trying to renew your subscription with a credit card or Pre Paid Code ? And the gold your currently on that is due to end on the 19th was it purchased with a Credit card or Pre Paid Code ?

    Yes buy pre-paid cards from a game shop or similar retailer.

    There are two types,xbox credits and gold membership cards, be sure you get the right one.

    Pre-paid card credits can not be used to buy gold time.
