Xbox Gold Not Working

Last Month, Xbox Live accidentally charged me 2 times for xbox gold. They realized it and cancelled it and gave me $40 for Microsoft store, but when they cancelled the duplicate payment they also cancelled my active xbox gold. Today
I bought xbox gold for a full year and it charged me but didn’t give me gold! What I would like is for xbox to cancel the extra year of gold and start up my old xbox gold that’s supposed to end in April.

If you download the game on one account it will be available to all accounts on the console.

Hi there,

please double check http://account.microsoft.com/services to see if the subscription is showing there.

If the subscription shows, try the following steps

Remove profile from the console (Make sure you know the account credentials for the account, since you will need them later)

Perform the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:
Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console

Redownload your profile

If these steps fail or the subscription isn't showing on the link, then its best to contact Xbox Support (via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat) at

I tried removing my account, restarting it with the 3 different ways and my subscription still isn’t showing up on my xbox.

That’s what it says: buy 1-month of gold after I just recently bought a full years worth.

Games with gold for the xbox one only work will you have xbox gold, so if you got this as one of the games for gold, it will only work will you have a subscription

xbox 360 will only work with gold, xbox 360 needs a gold account for EACH profile.

it is possible for one live account to work on two consoles, the catch is that the "parent" Gold will need to be signed in.

For this to work for your situation, Parent Gold must set Xbox A as the HOME CONSOLE in the settings menu. All profiles on this xbox will have Gold ONLY WHILE USING THIS XBOX.

Parent GOLD will then need to be signed in at all times on Xbox B to allow any gold features to be used.
