Xbox gold not being recognized by Xbox one

everytime I try to play some sort of multiplayer, the console prompts me to purchase a gold membership (even though I already have one). When I do try to purchase it takes me to a screen saying, "sorry, that's as many as you can." Please help.

Gold account not being recognized by xbox one console.

This is definitely a billing issue that only phone support can handle. You'll need to contact them for help with this.

If you want to add your year membership to your account you can do that. It should not stop working but if it does then that will need to be addressed with phone support as well.

If your Gold membership account is the one you're posting with then it is showing as Silver only. If this is not the case then you'll need to contact phone support in your region for more assistance. If you live in North America dial 1-800-469-9269

Same problem. I was using the gold from my brothers xbox (his was set as my home xbox) and his gold ran out. He got it back a day later but it still shows that I don't have gold.

My membership is paid through July, 2015. I spent about 6 hours (all together) on the phone with Xbox Support before they finally escalated me to the Xbox Global Escalation Department. They were able to fix the problem for exactly one day. I have tried
emailing and calling, but evidentially no one else at Xbox knows how to contact them when they close a ticket that was not resolved. I have been hung up on twice today and have gotten no replies to the 4 emails that have been sent.

Are you still having issues with your Xbox One not recognizing that you're an Xbox Live Gold member? Your account currently shows being a Gold member, so hopefully that reflects with your console now.

I further checked on my Xbox 360 and Xbox One and it doesn't recoginze me as Gold member there. It seems the only place this is being recognized is on the iOS App....

We see that you are not receiving Gold Status this month due to your subscription being a promotional Gold subscription for 1 month. Promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards, so your free 1 month is not eligible. From our FAQ:

My Xbox Live Rewards account is not recognizing my Xbox Live Gold membership. What should I do?

Xbox Live Rewards can only recognize paid monthly or yearly standard, non-promotional Xbox Live Gold memberships. If you have a different type of membership, we may not be able to recognize you as an Xbox Live Rewards Gold member.
