XBOX Gold monthly free games rated G or PG

We purchased a 12 month subscription to XBOX Gold Live with the expectation that at least some of the games offered each month would be appropriate for our 10 year old son - i.e. G or PG rated. Over the last 3 months there has only been one game offered
in these rating categories. Our son looks forward to seeing what he can download at the beginning of each month, and has been disappointed for the last 2. This situation is shortsighted, particularly when you consider that it is school holidays all over the
world at present. What can Microsoft do to better cater for this age group?

Hi there

If i purchase a game at a reduced rate because i have a gold account
When i cancel my gold subscription do i lose the game
I appreciate that happens with the free monthly game

Random Thought I Had

Since the mid 90's, video games have been getting ratings. In the US: M, T, or E. (Mature, Teen, Everybody)

Since I've been alive, movies are rated -- X, R, PG-13, PG, G

Why/How are books excluded from this set of principles? Considering most of the games we play and/or the movies we watch derived from books, you'd think that they would be rated as well. Of all the movies I've watched or the games I've played, I have yet
to come across something as graphic in nature as the book, 'American Psycho.' (Not sure if anyone here has actually read it?)

So, do the physical images really play that much of an important role? Or, is it something different than that?

Hey there. I think the best course of action would be to suggest that they offer more games that are appropriate for a younger audience at Xbox's feedback site:

Xbox is really good at using that site to see what the community wants and have implemented numerous ideas already.

You say it's "PG", does that mean that there is part of it that some may find offensive or otherwise questionable?

Gamerpics should be kept to a G rating.

You will need an XBox Gold membership to play any games online. You can also buy monthly XBox gold cards.

PS also requires their memberships to play online games

Except of Fortnite, reason is that they are rising their console profit selling rate by making fortnite free to play without membership

Then why not xbox can make fortnite free to play without xbox live gold membership

You're posting from a free account. I don't think you'll be able to activate the free month of Gold at this point: it's an offer when you are creating the Xbox Live account, and if you decline it you don't get another offer for that account. (At least,
that's how it used to work.)

If you purchase a 1 Month for $1 offer, you get the full Gold membership including Games With Gold. You are signing up for the recurring monthly subscription and billing if you do that, so be sure to turn off automatic renewal if you do not want to
keep paying for a Gold subscription at the regular monthly rate.
