Xbox Gold membership issue on a second Xbox

You're not doing anything wrong, so it must be just down to a network delay. Try logging into the second console and just check the subscription status in the settings menu. This may force it to check the subscription and kick it into life.

Hi there. Thank you for the welcome. Yes - I (and his mum - we are apart) pay for his Gold membership. He has no problem using Gold at his home. He is not sharing it with anyone (his mum or I don't play) It's only when he comes to me on a different Xbox.
Any advice would be welcome as it's putting himoff coming to see me!!

Do you pay for the Gold membership on his account or does someone esle? It sounds like he is sharing a Gold membership at home and it's not actually linked to his account, as it should work if it is.

Can you confirm this?

Thanks for info. This should work, so I'm looking into why you could be having issues. Just a couple of more questions...

Have you just recently purchased the second console? ... Just think it could be a network delay, as a lot of people are having issues at the moment with there subscriptions not showing as being renewed.

Also, are the games he owns being downloaded OK? ... When I mean owned, I mean purchased games, not free-to-play.
