xbox gold live online gaming issue..

Hi. i bought my first xbox gold live subscription this month. never had it before.. first three days it was fine i were able to play games online but after that when i try to play online it redirects me to buy xbox live again and even if i already have it. and
when i try to buy it again window pops out that your subscription is past due... but when i go to my microsoft account there everything looks fine no past due payments nothing.. p.s it allows me to download free month games buy a games with a gold discounts
but doesn't allow me to play them online. i tryed everything like rebooting my console and modem, reconect it offline-online, deleted capcha, even reinstaled my games. did network connection test. everything looks fine there but still can't play. if someone
could help me to solve this would be thankful..

Hi! The person/account who wants to play online does need Xbox Live Gold in order to do so (as Xbox Live Gold is required for online gaming).

Some games requires an Xbox Live Gold subscription to play online multiplayer. Is it asking you to choose the right plan for you and with options of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Live Gold? If yes and you’re trying to play the game online you may need to get an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

you need Xbox live gold to play online, as rainbow six is an online only game as far as I know, you need gold to play it

No. They are not making Xbox Live Gold free. They are only make games that are "free to play" such as fortnite for example, not require you to have gold to play online.

Other games that are not "free to play" will still require a paid Xbox Live Gold subscription in order to play them online.

There is no date announced yet for when free to play games could be played online without gold.
