Xbox Gold isn’t transferring over

So i had xbox live gold on my old xbox one, for Christmas i was gifted with a brand new Series X. I plug everything in, set it all up, and when I try to join my friends party, it says i must buy gold. I don’t think that my live gold ran out, is this a
problem for anyone else? Xbox live gold not transferring onto next gen consoles?

Xbox Live Gold works on all Xbox consoles, 360 through to Series X/S. To use your current Gold sub on your console you need to sign in with the same email and password you used on your previous console. Are you sure you're using the same account?

Contact Xbox live support and they will transfer over the gold for you

Your account will fully transfer over, including Xbox Live Gold Membership

Third party subscriptions will be cancelled since they don't transfer over.

Only subs that transfers over is Gold and this as well has some issues sometimes.
