Xbox gold help

Hi! I had just gotten Xbox gold. I had gotten it off of Microsoft’s website instead of buying it in store. I got it to play this game called fortnite. I made sure my account now said Xbox gold as part of memberships and downloaded the game. The game keeps
telling me I need Xbox gold when I already have it. Help?

Games with gold help

How do you find or get to the free games with gold? I tried going to the xbox one store on the xbox, but it doesn't show the games for gold games. I tried using bing and saying games for gold, but it still doesn't show up. Where from the home page is are the games for gold... I cant seem to find it. It use to be on the home screen but is not anymore and I cant locate it. I am sure I am just missing it... can someone help as to where I can locate this app or page?

Can you try carrying out a full console restart by pressing and holding the power button on the front of the console for 5-10 seconds when the console is switched on. If this does not help I would next suggest you try

removing your profile from the console (please make sure you know your account Email and password prior to doing this) restart the console again and re install your profile.
