Xbox gold - get minecraft with gold offer

SO I bought xbox live gold through the snap in that promised I would get a code for Minecraft. Today I recieved acode for Rocket League. I do not want Rocket League, I did not purchase gold to get Rocket League, but to get Minecraft. Whats going on here?

For anyone who has a Gold membership with Xbox Live, have you seen these coupon offers? Supposedly, you can either get Xbox free or get a free trial offer for as long as one year. There might be a catch, but maybe they're just doing it to promote the Gold membership. Has anyone ever gotten a free trial?

At least sharing games is not limited to gold, but the gold perks are pretty good as well. Basically, you're getting and playing unlimited games for free with this digital sharing feature if you're a Xbox Live gold member. Here's a little more clarification if you don't necessarily understand the article, but NBC gives a pretty good rundown of what it offers. Great move by Microsoft, and I'm interested in what Sony has to offer. This sounds a lot better than their sharing feature at the moment.

 

What Gold promotion did you see? Is there a link? Did you buy a card in a store?

I've heard of Rocket League being offered free with a Gold subscription, but not Minecraft (as far as I know).

 

The offer was available only on Xbox one. No link. Buy 3 months gold through the ad and get Minecraft or buy 12 months and get the extra skin pack or something like that.

 

Same here. Promised minecraft and favorites pack. No code or anything yet. Been a few days. I took a picture of it

I have also brought gold 12 months and only renewed it because my son is off school so thought it would past the time and he could play Minecraft. It did say I would receive my code within a few days not anytime till 21st July. I think this is really bad
on Microsofts part as it is false advertisement

I contacted support and he guy told me we will get both games and minecraft should be delivered by July 31. I'm extremely skeptical about this but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Will surely be contacting them again come July 31st.

 

Yeah he's absolutely wrong. I've seen people who went for the Rocket League deal saying they accidentally received a Minecraft key. There was nothing on the dashboard about getting Rocket League, for us UK people, so support is amazingly incorrect. I'm going
to contact support regardless.
