    Xbox Gold Gamesharing Not Working


    I have been gamesharing with my boyfriend for quite a while, but for some reason when I went to play an online game today I kept getting pop-ups saying to buy gold. I have been able to play online games the few days before and never had any problems until
    this morning. We checked and both our accounts are still sharing, all our shared games work, except he has access to gold and I don’t. He said some time ago he got gold for life and theorized that his subscription wasn’t able to goldshare, but that doesn’t
    explain all that time I had gold. So I looked into my canceled subscriptions and it said I paid for gold three months ago. Is there some way to fix our goldsharing so I don’t have to pay?

    You can set the account with gold as your xbox home and gameshare with it. It will allow the other console to use the gold as well and share the same games!

    Now, I'm unsure if you actually read my post, as I mentioned previously I have repeatedly checked my settings because that's the only piece of advice I've been given by anyone on any sort of forum to try to fix it. The only thing that I can think of is that maybe since I am only getting xbox live gold through gameshare It doesn't work, but that just doesn't really make sense because it worked prior to a week or two ago while I also only had gameshared xbox live gold.

    Why can't I play online with gamesharing?

    What's been going on is I just started gamesharing with my friends account and when I launch a game that requires Xbox live gold it requires me to choose from Xbox Live gold Or Gamepass ultimate. I'm just confused and don't know why it doesn't work. Also a few days before this it was working just fine.
