Xbox gold free games

Is it me as I can't help but notice that the xbox gold free games has hit a brick wall and we've had the same two now for ages.

its disappointing that the games are generally poor quality anyway compared to 360.

if you can't provide games (and we understand as we're talking next gen) offer us passes, free DLC, SOMETHING!

shoving your head in the sand sucks when you consider the price of games and the console.

just saying.

Without a doubt this will be the 1st free game on Games for Gold on Xbox One.

 

Evolve

This will be Free to play this weekend and will be the full game and then available to purchase with 50% off on Tuesday in next weeks Deals With Gold.
Think I will give it a go. Silly question but does it have an offline/SP mode at all?

Really we should think ourselves lucky, if it wasn't for sony giving away free games with plus, we probably wouldn't get anything.

Trouble is, like you said it's next gen or current gen whatever. They still want to make money so they can't go to mad giving stuff away or no one would buy anything, they would just wait for it becoming free.

 

D4 is a really good game, well worth playing and a welcome change from the usual shoot/slash games.

 

I didn't like D4.

One thing they could do if they fall short on ideas is to start pulling 1 game a month from the 360's library and start porting them over. Someone else made a thread about which arcade games from the 360 they'd like to have ported over. It can be found here,
as well as the games I would like to see ported over.

 

All the games been given out with gwg I wouldn't have ever bought but I have enjoyed a couple of them and hated the others so for me its perfect as is get to try games I wouldn't dream of paying for so I ain't out of pocket if there rubbish

 

The price is right...... why complain? If you don't like what they offer, don't take it.....

 

So far, I've enjoyed Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition, and Worms: Battlegrounds. The rest were either okay or terrible, IMO, or it simply wasn't important enough for me to remember right now.

Due to the smaller library of games on the One, one thing I know that they're doing is releasing 1 free game each month, while holding over 1 from the previous month, so instead of getting 2 free games each month, you get 1 free game each month for 2 months.

 

I wasn't actually berating the quality of the games, a free game is a free game. Except, it's meant to be 2 per month. When was the last change? Or have we been on these two for longer than the month? Yep.

2 per month means that, regardless of quality. The christmas sales push seems to have left us. 360 still gets 2 per month

 

Its one new one per month with one from last month.....D4 was this month in February we get [tag:IDARB] as our new game

 

ISU, they have been holding 1 over from the previous month for a while now, but we have always gotten at least 1 new game free each month. D4 has only been around since the beginning of January, and in December we got Worms for free. [tag:IDARB] is confirmed
for February so far, with no news as to what the other free game will be (if it's new or a repeat).

 

It'll get better as the library expands and the console gets older. On the 360, the disc-based games that they've given away are always a few years old, so I suspect that we'll see the same thing happening on the Xbox One in the future.

 

There are always two free ones but they only give one new one for free a month.

 

Idarb is just as bad as the rest of the games they game stop with the block people and paper look its next gen lets see it bc my oppinion is they should never thought of bringing such trash games even out for this system if I wanted to play such crappy games
