Xbox Gold for XBOX 360 & One

I have an Xbox 360 with a gold live subscription. I just got an xbox one and I have my user/gametag on it. My question is how to I get the gold live subscription on it also. I'm not buying a whole new one for it.

xbox one gold account - xbox 360 online gaming?

my nephew got a xbox one for Christmas & currently has a gold membership, he also has his old faithful xbox 360 though his gold account was switched to the newer machine.

I have an xbox 360 & we want to play online together, will his xbox one gold membership allow him to use his old 360 for online gaming or would this require him to have gold memberships for both the xbox one & the 360?

I am assuming he can't use his xbox one & play online against a 360 player although I will happily be proved wrong about that if its possible.

Games for Gold is for both Xbox 360 & Xbox One users 360 users get games for the moment and Xbox One users get free avatars and video game discounts for the moment.

just sign in and thats it, make sure the console is set as your home console and your good to go, use both 360 and one with one sub, also any other profiles on your one can get the same benefits as you with it being set as the home console.

I must be missing something then, I set to home but when I look at the main page its showing to add xbox live and when I click on that its asking to buy a subscription.

you are using the exact same profile (email and password) from the 360, if so then something is wrong.

It has always been like that not unless there will be an update regarding in redeeming Xbox 360 games with gold on the website. Xbox 360 marketplace has a different structure than on Xbox One Store. Xbox 360 games with gold on the website will need a payment
method. In Xbox 360 console, you won't need one. Currently, you can't redeem Xbox 360 games with gold using Xbox One console and still under progress about redeeming Xbox 360 games with gold on Xbox One console. Either get the games using an Xbox 360 console,
or get the games on the website with a payment method.

Yes it is possible to use the same Xbox Lice Gold account on both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles, I'm using the same Gold account on my Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles.

Yes, the xbox live gold shares between the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One on one account, so if you have gold one one you have it on the other for free, just log in on the same account on both devices, but only one can be online once at a time.

The My Home Xbox feature to share gold does not share across to xbox 360 backwards compatible or the real xbox 360, so if they need to use the xbox 360, they will each need gold to play on that console.

About the xbox 360 gamer profile reset, can you explain more about that? If you mean moving to Xbox one from the xbox 360, your achievements are not reset - but you may have to rebuild your progress on the Xbox one version of the game if it's not backwards
compatible from xbox 360.
