Xbox Gold Dust issue

I played Tales of Borderlands for 10 hours or more for more than 3 months consecutive but did not received the perk yet for Gold Dust. I played it in December, January and February but still haven't received the perk. Any idea what's the issue?

Yes, a game is "featured" during the date range specified on the Games with Gold page (Games with Gold | Xbox Live), so for example ZOMBI would be within the "featured" period
between 1/16 and 2/15 (30 days, as you mentioned). The 10 hours of playtime can be from any combination of these featured titles during the month, so for example you could play 5 hours of Tomb Raider and 5 hours of ZOMBI later this month. Regarding your FREEdom
question, it can take us up to 96 hours to receive and process new activity, so if you only recently played your title, it would still be too early to see that progress.

So I think I understand the "featured" aspect, like so 360 games are only "featured" for like 15 days, and Xbox one games are featured for 30 days, right? My other issue is does the 10 hrs have to be in one game? Or like the first half of January for instance
can I play 3 hours of "back to future" 3 hours of tomb raider and 4 hours of "van Hellsing"? This is a 3 month in a row challenge, so there needs to be better clarification on this. Also if in that games hub under stats hours played, is that a correct figure/how
it's tracked for the challenge?

Needs to be a punchcard/tracker to know which month your on and if it's completed for the current month. Punchcards/trackers also need to be added to 30 mins per week mixer challenges. Especially when one of them is like 26 weeks in a row. Basically all
challenges need a punchcard/tracker!

On the Freedom mission I've got 5 hrs play on one of the free pinball games, so it says in that games "game hub". That mission has a punchcard but my first of 3 game is not punched... Might need more time to update though.... Been less than 1 FULL day.

 

You seem to be confused on how the promotion works. You have to play 10 hours of Games with Gold titles which are offered THAT month - each month you have a different selection of games to play. You cannot play the same game 3 months in a row, it has to
be one of the games offered during that month. Furthermore, Tales from the Borderlands was a GwG title quite some time ago (long before these promotions started) so definitely would not have been a valid choice for any month.

Games with Gold These offers consist of both downloading and playing a featured Games with Gold for at least 10 hours per month. In order to qualify, you must both download AND play the title during the time it is featured as part of the Games with Gold
offerings for the month. Tracking for these MyChallenges will begin as of December 1, 2017.

• Gold Dust: Play a featured Games with Gold title for at least 10 hours during the featured period for 3 months in a row, earn 100 MyVIP Gems

Since Tales from the Borderlands was only featured as a offer from November 16th- December 15th, it would not have qualified for January and February.
